Job Description

Function background/context:

Citi FX is a leading provider of Foreign Exchange products globally. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated person to join the Middle East Corporate FX Sales team to grow the FX business by increasing wallet share and acquiring prospect clients across our target market clients in the GCC & Levant.

Key responsibilities:

  • Proactively driving FX Sales coverage for Corporate clients' base across GCC & Levant and identify new opportunities for the FX desk
  • Implementing key initiatives set forth by Global and Regional FX Management
  • Working closely with eFX team, and partnering with Treasury & Trade Solutions, and Operations to ensure seamless FX execution and proper product offering based on client understanding
  • Interacting with Banking coverage to increase FX dialogue with clients and identify pockets of growth
  • Partnering and coordinating with Structuring to understand and analyze clients' businesses to provide best suited FX solutions, and continuously looking for cross sell opportunities
  • Working closely with the Trading desk, leveraging the franchise platform to capture client FX business
  • Actively performing data analytics to identify any gaps and set forth a plan to bridge such gaps
  • Working in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure
  • Building a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics
  • Adhere to Citi's Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services
Qualifications and Competencies:
  • 3-5 years of experience in Treasury / FX related roles
  • Good understanding of the local markets in the GCC & Levant
  • Previous experience in client-facing roles with proven track record on growing and maintaining relationships through value added service and commercial skills
  • Team player who is committed to support the success of the FX business, and focused on deliverables
  • Diligent individual with Strong analytical skills and ability to navigate complex situations
  • Multitasking and working in a fast pace environment
  • Attention to detail and intermediate problem solving skills
  • Excellent use of Microsoft office, especially Power Point and Excel
  • Strong interpersonal, networking, cultural and communication skills
  • High motivation, energy, tenacity and longevity to drive the business and growth forward
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English and Arabic. French is a plus
  • University degree or higher
  • Languages: English ( fluent) , Arabic & French ( Beneficial)
