Job Description

Responsible for managing, monitoring, controlling, and analysing all external and internal communications with the media and stakeholders. Lead and develop a comprehensive corporate communications tactic that effectively promotes and enhances the organization's brand, reputation, and stakeholder engagement. The Head of Corporate Communications will drive the alignment of internal and external messaging, oversee media relations, manage crisis communications, and ensure consistent, impactful communication that supports the organization's strategic goals and fosters a positive public image.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic * Responsible for the daily communications activities of the department and the business.

  • Responsible for corporate identity and brand reputation of Keolis MHI, PTA and partners.
  • Manage external communications with media such as press releases and social media.
  • Establish and maintain compatible relationship with RTA (Rail Agency, Marketing and Corporate Communications, support services, corporate governance, Etc) and other local and federal government departments (as necessary and in relation to contractual obligations).
Financial * If applicable: Develop, oversee, and manage the corporate communications budget for Keolis MHI, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources to support communication strategies and initiatives. This includes monitoring expenses, forecasting financial needs, and reporting on budget performance to ensure alignment with the organization's financial goals.
  • Support the Company to preserve and enhance its business performance.
  • Analyse communication result to determine cost effectiveness annually against agency costs.
Stakeholder / Customer * Provide the Department Director, MD and PTA with regular reporting and pro-active updates on existing and changes to department strategy, plan and/or business continuity.
  • Support the business, the client (RTA) and Partners in understanding the passengers travel pattern in order to plan and organise effective communication plans through target social media campaign.
Operational * Write press releases, speeches and prepare all the material related for media.
  • Communicate with media agencies for stories; create media schedules and media training where necessary.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the integrated public relations and communications plan (Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, website, and future mediums).
  • Implement a Social Media Guidelines, Policy and/or Procedure to control communication activities within the business.
  • Timely implement of communication executions for all marketing campaigns, events, exhibitions, etc.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and business "know-how" to explore opportunities, stories and changes that affect media and communication planning.
  • Manage and attend delegation for customers and corporate visits.
  • Implement effective Corporate Social Responsibility plans and activities in the community.
  • Conduct performance review, disciplinary and grievance for Communications team.
  • Perform and carry out other duties as instructed / directed by the Marketing and Communications Director, Managing Director and/or Chief Executive Officer.
Capability / People
  • Lead the Communications activities on behalf of the Company.
  • Continuously review, evaluate and develop UAE nationals within the Communications division.
  • Provide an opportunity for new joiners, fresh graduates and internship programs to further develop Keolis MHI cadre.

Education
Qualification in Business, Advertising, Media, Business Administration, or a related field. Post graduate preferable.
Qualification in Media Relations
Experience * 5 to 10 years minimum of experience working as Communications Specialist in large organisations - preferably in the public transportation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate communications procedures.
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Public transportation sector experience preferred
  • Regional and UAE experience is preferred.
