Responsible for coordinating, issuing, monitoring, and closing
Permit-to-Work (PTW)
for
mechanical activities
in compliance with HSE standards, company procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure safe execution of work at site.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage the
Permit-to-Work system
for mechanical activities.
Issue, review, suspend, and close PTWs such as hot work, cold work, confined space, line breaking, and lifting permits.
Verify
risk assessments (JSA/JHA)
, method statements, and safety controls before permit issuance.
Ensure proper
mechanical isolations, LOTO
, and energy isolation are implemented.
Conduct site inspections to confirm compliance with permit conditions.
Coordinate with HSE, operations, maintenance, and contractors.
Monitor simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) and ensure work conflicts are controlled.
Maintain PTW records, logs, and reports.
Support incident prevention and ensure adherence to HSE policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Diploma or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
Minimum
10+ years of experience in Oil & Gas
, preferably in construction, shutdown, or maintenance projects.
Strong knowledge of
PTW systems
, mechanical safety, and HSE regulations.
Good understanding of
hazard identification, risk assessment
, and control measures.
Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple teams.
