(BLME0177) ABU DHABI ABOUT THE ROLE Support the Executive Director in the following areas:
  • Develop and manage local, regional, and international cultural relations to support the foundation\xe2\x80\x99s cultural diplomacy strategy.
  • Organize events and activations to host cultural affairs engagements.
The role will require research and report writing, preparation of presentations, internal communications, and event coordination experience. Key Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Support the Executive Director in developing and managing local, regional, and international cultural relations for the foundation\xe2\x80\x99s cultural diplomacy strategy.
  • Organize events and activations for cultural affairs engagements.
  • Conduct research and report writing, prepare presentations, handle internal communications, and coordinate events.
  • Maintain existing cultural affairs relations with international strategic partners, including Embassies, arts festivals, arts organizations, and other strategic partners such as UNESCO.
  • Draft key documents for international partners, including Letters of Cooperation and/or Memorandums of Understanding.
  • Update the ADMAF database on the history of cultural affairs and engagement with priority countries.
  • Brief the Marketing Department/ADMAF Editor on the preparation of key messaging for cultural affairs engagement.
  • Work closely with the Founder\xe2\x80\x99s office in facilitating VIP engagement related to Cultural Affairs with abroad programs and locally in UAE.
  • Support and collaborate with the programming team in areas where there is cross-over between Cultural Affairs and Programming.
  • Engage in the collaborative development of program elements and/or co-commissions and co-productions with partner organizations.
  • Research and recommend regional and international trips, conferences, festivals, awards, recognitions, and opportunities for ADMAF and the Founder in the arts and culture sector.
  • Research and monitor activities of key regional and international festivals and cultural organizations.
  • Coordinate the activation of Abu Dhabi Festival Abroad programs as designated project lead, including venue and arts organization liaison, coordinating with the Founder\xe2\x80\x99s Office on VIP invites and hosting, as well as preparation of itineraries for VIP guests.
  • Manage ADMAF\xe2\x80\x99s memberships in relevant networking organizations (European Festivals Association, UNESCO, ECOSOC, etc.).
  • Conduct comprehensive research on cultural and artistic trends, policies, and best practices, both locally and globally.
  • Gather and curate historical and contemporary data related to cultural affairs, maintaining an organized and accessible archive.
  • Create and update digital and physical repositories for cultural materials, ensuring preservation and easy retrieval.
  • Develop and implement protocols for archiving documents, artworks, photographs, and other relevant materials.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to contribute to the preservation and cataloging of cultural assets.
  • Assist in developing publications and scholarly articles related to cultural affairs and diplomacy.
  • Support the Executive Director in producing research reports and analysis for cultural programs and initiatives.
  • Identify and recommend awards, honors, and recognitions that align with the Founder\xe2\x80\x99s contributions to the arts and culture sector.
  • Research and evaluate prestigious cultural awards and accolades that are relevant to the Founder\xe2\x80\x99s achievements and impact.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and relevant stakeholders to develop compelling nomination packages for award submissions.
  • Coordinate with external organizations and award committees to ensure timely and accurate submission of award nominations.
  • Prepare briefing materials and talking points for the Founder in preparation for award ceremonies and acceptance speeches.
  • Track and document the status of award nominations and outcomes, providing updates to the Founder and Executive Director as needed.
