Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook Asian dishes including noodles, rice, stir-fries, soups, and sauces as per brand recipes.
Follow standard recipes, portion control, and plating guidelines consistently.
Operate kitchen equipment safely including woks, burners, steamers, and fryers.
Ensure food preparation meets quality, taste, and presentation standards.
Maintain cleanliness of workstation in line with HACCP and food safety regulations.
Assist in daily mise-en-place and proper food storage (FIFO).
Work efficiently during high-volume service periods.
Coordinate with chefs and kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
Report any equipment issues, food shortages, or quality concerns to senior kitchen staff.
Minimize wastage and follow cost-control procedures.
Required Skills & Experience
2-5 years' experience as a Cook or Line Cook in Asian casual or casual-dining restaurants.
Experience working in brands such as The Noodle House, Wagamama, PF Chang's, or similar is highly preferred.
Good knowledge of Asian ingredients, sauces, and cooking methods.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
Team player with good communication skills.
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
