Job Description

Key Responsibilities:



Prepare daily meals including breakfast, lunch, and dinner based on a vegetarian Gujarati menu. Cook popular Gujarati dishes such as dal, shaak (sabzi), kadhi, thepla, handvo, undhiyu, dhokla, and farsan. Plan menus according to seasonal vegetables and family preferences. Maintain kitchen hygiene, organization, and cleanliness. Shop for groceries or create a shopping list for required ingredients. Ensure proper food storage and waste management. Occasionally prepare special meals for festivals or guests.

Requirements:



Proven experience as a Gujarati or Indian vegetarian cook. Strong knowledge of Gujarati spices, ingredients, and traditional cooking methods. Ability to adjust spice levels and flavors based on family preferences. Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and hygiene. Good time management and cleanliness. (Optional) Ability to cook Jain or Swaminarayan meals.

Preferred Qualifications:



Prior experience working in an Indian household, restaurant, or catering service. Familiarity with North Indian, South Indian, or other regional cuisines (bonus). Can communicate in Gujarati or Hindi.

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
