Controller Yard
Job Description
Monitor and control inbound and outbound flow of vehicles and cargo.
Assign storage slots and optimize yard layout to prevent congestion and maximize space.
Track vehicle and cargo movement using Yard Management System (YMS)/WMS.
Conduct daily checks on yard occupancy, vehicle condition, and cargo placement.
Report damages, discrepancies, or irregularities and coordinate corrective actions.
Support customs and inspection processes in collaboration with authorities.
Generate daily/weekly reports on occupancy, vehicle dwell time, and throughput.
Enforce company SOPs, HSE rules, and yard traffic management standards.
Coordinate with clients, transporters, and commercial team to ensure timely dispatches.
Provide operational support during peak volumes or special projects.
Additional Responsibilities:
Ensure
accurate VIN/barcode scanning
and timely system updates for all vehicle movements. Superviseloading/unloading activities
to prevent delays and damages. Assist intraining new yard staff
on operational processes and safety practices. Participate inperiodic audits and inventory reconciliations
with the operations team.Escalate
capacity, safety, or compliance issues
to the Yard Operations Supervisor for action.#LI-NA1
