Our clients, a leading construction organisation in the UAE, are seeking an experienced Contracts or Commercial Managers with solid FIDIC knowledge and a Western education background. These are a strategic leadership role ideal for professionals who want to contribute to major projects while working with a highly reputable organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all commercial and contractual functions across major construction projects.
Review, draft, negotiate, and manage contractual agreements, claims, variations, and commercial correspondence.
Ensure full compliance with FIDIC contract conditions (Red/Yellow/Silver Book).
Provide contractual advice to senior management and project teams on risks, entitlement, and dispute resolution.
Prepare and monitor project budgets, cost forecasts, cashflows, and financial reports.
Oversee procurement strategies, subcontract agreements, tender evaluations, and commercial negotiations.
Collaborate with legal teams, consultants, project directors, and client representatives.
Ensure commercial governance and best-practice contract administration across all stages.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field from a recognized Western university.
15-20 years of experience in the Construction / Contracting / Oil & Gas industry, preferably with Tier 1 contractors.
Native English speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong and proven expertise in FIDIC contract administration and claims management (mandatory).
Previous experience working on large-scale building, infrastructure, or mixed-use projects.
Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills, and negotiation capabilities.
Previous GCC or international project experience is an added advantage.
