Develop and implement procurement strategies for structural steel packages, ensuring alignment with project timelines and technical requirements.
Review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to identify material needs and create sourcing plans.
Identify, assess, and prequalify suppliers and subcontractors for structural steel components, including fabricators, mills, and coating vendors.
Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs), evaluate vendor proposals, and perform detailed commercial and technical bid analyses.
Negotiate and finalize contracts and purchase orders, ensuring cost efficiency, adherence to quality standards, and timely delivery.
Collaborate with design, quality, and project execution teams to resolve technical issues and manage supply chain risks.
Monitor supplier performance to ensure contractual compliance and on-time delivery in line with project milestones.
Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure timely updates to documentation and reporting systems.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related discipline).
Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in the procurement of structural steel for infrastructure or industrial projects.
