Position Overview
The Continuous Improvement Officer will be responsible for enhancing operational excellence by implementing lean practices, optimizing processes, and driving data-based decision-making across departments. This role will also support the project management office by ensuring successful planning, execution, and delivery of operations-related initiatives.

Core Duties

• Collect, analyze, and validate operational data to create dashboards and performance reports using Excel and Power BI.
• Provide analytical insights on KPIs to identify bottlenecks and recommend improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with IT and external stakeholders such as Port Authorities to ensure reporting accuracy and compliance.
• Develop and maintain operational process maps and documentation, ensuring version control and departmental adoption.
• Lead initiatives to eliminate inefficiencies, reduce waste, and improve workflows.
• Deliver training in lean tools such as Kaizen, 5S, VSM, PDCA, and DMAIC to support continuous improvement culture.
• Facilitate and oversee cross-functional lean projects to address operational challenges.
• Lead initiation, planning, and monitoring of operations-related projects, preparing charters, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses.
• Create project tracking tools such as WBS, progress trackers, and budget monitoring sheets.
• Ensure timely project closure with lessons learned and user sign-offs.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, Operations Management, or related discipline.
• Strong experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel and Power BI.
• Proficiency in process mapping and optimization.
• Strong knowledge of lean practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Working understanding of project management frameworks and tools.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and lead cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to improvement and efficiency.

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Belt (required or in progress).
• Project Management Professional (PMP).
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
