OB OBJECTIVE

This function is in charge of delivering, Content & Digital actions for external and internal communications across the MEA & KSA regions. To foster a strong footprint sense of belonging to the Thales brand and engage employees in the company's mission internally and to place Thales as a thought leader towards its customers in all market externally. The function is responsible for developing Thales's brand and BL expertise awareness, Promoting, products, services and technologies through communications actions and tools, campaigns with a focus on content creation, digital and Social media. Advising Country Management on communications tactics and opportunities to contribute to customer intimacy.

The MEA & KSA regional Digital & Content Communications role deploys content & Digital communications actions in the regions and countries. He/she creates editorial calendar and messages that reflects the regions business and communications objectives and vision in line with the group strategy.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and implement regions & Countries Digital strategy (externally and internally) in coordination with counterparts in Business Lines (BLs), Business partners, Countries and Corporate
  • Bring recommendations and advice in terms of digital strategy to your Network
  • Accelerate the digital transformation of the digital activity with strong challenges to maintain contact with external and internal audiences such as customers and employees
  • Active role in the building and promotion of the Thales' Content strategy (externally and internally) in collaboration with Business Lines (BLs), Business partners, Countries and Corporate
  • Implement and manage the editorial calendar
  • Manage Defense and civil related communications campaigns and coordinate with the press relations and events managers
  • Design, manage and deploy campaigns in full coordination with Press and events
  • The Content & Digital manager will be accountable for defining and building up an integrated campaign including the coordination aspects with all stakeholders
  • Creates and implements long-term brand communications strategy that reflects the regions and countries strategic vision
  • Define and implement the roadmap, retroplanning and budget
  • Manage corporate internal communications campaigns and coordinate with the events manager when it is related to an event.
  • Manage external agencies and successful creation of agency briefings
  • Create internal communications campaigns in line with the regions & countries strategies and coordinate with the events manager when it is related to an event
  • Define & Contribute in the employee advocacy campaign on social networks externally
  • Manage different tools as Buzzworthy, hootsuite, Knowledge box etc.
  • Lead external and internal digital & content projects.
  • Create and maintain the content updated on the platforms by delivering cost-effective services
  • Ensure the development and management of multimedia & digital content (videos, photos, leaflets, Factsheets, country presentations...) as well as to the production of editorial content for publication on the website, intranet or social networks, using efficient tools as Knowledge box
  • Manage and update countries and regions webpages as per region and corporate priorities
  • Ensure the efficiency and optimization of the platforms ( Presentations, Factsheets and digital campaigns) to support the business and increase the Group's reputation in MEA & KSA
  • Creation of multimedia content and coordinate projects milestones
  • Conduct request for proposal/information for external agencies in collaboration with his/her manager
  • Define and implement the roadmap
  • Advise business partners, leads and co-ordinates projects related and in line with the communications plan
  • Ensure the Governance of the platform(s) in coordination with the Group digital communication
  • Follow up KPI to assess platforms efficiency and customers' satisfaction
  • Ensure that all the projects are delivered on-time respecting our business partners requirements
  • Coordinate and lead the arbitration and steering projects
  • Speech and customer letters writer - Only related to communications projects
  • Develop Digital & Content tools to reach all stakeholders in the regions and countries
  • Benchmark and select new tools
  • Support our business partners by recommending the digital solutions best suited to their needs in coordination with the Group digital communication department
  • Exchange with the other team members on a regular basis by providing feed-back to collectively improve our skills and work on common projects
  • Support and Manage content & Digital for events and exhibitions in coordination with the events and press relations managers
  • Assess the competition and support the regional director to implement communications tactics towards customers to counterpart competitions
  • Define and Manage budget including the management of SAP tools ( PR, PO)
  • Reports to regional Communications Director
Content & Digital Communications "Out" (Regions and Countries)
  • Communications is not in charge of translations for all documents
  • Communications advise on the best suppliers to handle translations
  • User' is charged with the costs
  • Communications is not a speech writer for all events and Power Point presentations
  • If needed Communications can make sure that the proposals are aligned with Thales visual identity but not contents
  • Communications advises on the best suppliers to handle Power Points
  • Communications is not in charge of recruitment forums
  • Communications can support with messages, brochures and audio-visuals (but it is HR's responsibility and budget)
  • Communications is not in charge of operational meetings & functions logistics
Delegations
  • Communications can support visits to the site for media, VIP customers and authorities but not for schools, universities, technical, etc. for which it provides materials (brochures, official presentations...)
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Solid experience, agility and knowledge of content and digital communications including, strategy planning, reporting, editorial calendar, digital tools, copywriting, briefing documents for agencies (Social media, audiovisual etc.).
  • Ability to travel in the region and in Europe
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing content and digital communications
  • Minimum 6-8 years relevant experience in dedicated content and digital communications
  • Good oral, written and visual communication skills, including ability to communicate complex ideas to a range of audiences
  • Know how to create messaging and content for all channels, including digital, using agile practices
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders across the organization, facilitating constructive team work and creativity
  • Ability to quickly grasp information across a variety of disciplines and subsequently develop clear communications with minimal guidance
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
Effective communication skills with various stakeholders at all levels

Well-developed planning and organizational skills while working under tight deadlines and managing multiple projects

Ability to work under pressure

Well-developed interpersonal and team skills with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment

Excellent oral and written English and Arabic language skills preferred, French a plus

Good public speaking and presentation skills

QUALIFICATION, CERTIFICATION & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Master's Degree/ Bachelor in communications, audiovisual, political science, with several years of experience in Communication in a global company
