Job Summary



We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented

Consumer Protection Officer

to ensure full compliance with consumer protection regulations and to safeguard customer rights. The role involves handling customer complaints, monitoring business practices, ensuring fair treatment of customers, and supporting the organization in meeting regulatory and ethical standards of CBUAE.

Key Responsibilities



Handle and resolve customer complaints in a timely, fair, and professional manner. Ensure compliance with Consumer Protection Laws, Central Bank regulations, and internal policies. Review advertising, marketing materials, and customer communications to ensure accuracy and transparency. Monitor business practices to prevent misleading, unfair, or deceptive activities. Maintain records of complaints, investigations, and resolutions. Liaise with regulators and authorities on consumer-related matters when required. Conduct awareness sessions and training for staff on consumer protection requirements. Prepare reports and analysis on customer complaints, trends, and risk areas. Recommend improvements to processes and controls to enhance customer experience and compliance. Support audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews related to consumer protection. Submission of monthly & quarterly reports to CBUAE.

Qualifications & Requirements



Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Minimum

2-3 years' experience

in compliance, consumer protection, customer service, or regulatory role (preferably in an exchange house / financial services). Good knowledge of Consumer Protection regulations and regulatory frameworks. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability. Ability to handle sensitive cases with professionalism and confidentiality. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Fluency in English (Arabic is an advantage).
