We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Pediatric Neurosurgeon with expertise in Epilepsy Surgery to join a prestigious healthcare facility in Dubai.
As a Consultant Pediatric Neurosurgeon, you will be responsible for providing specialized medical care to children with neurological disorders, with a focus on epilepsy surgery. You will be expected to have a strong background in pediatric neurosurgery, with specific experience in performing epilepsy surgeries. You will also be a vital member of the healthcare team, providing guidance and support to other medical professionals and assisting in the development of treatment plans for patients.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing and treating children with neurological disorders, with particular focus on epilepsy
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients' conditions to determine appropriate treatment plans
- Performing surgical procedures for the treatment of epilepsy in children
- Monitoring and managing post-operative care, as well as providing ongoing follow-up treatment and evaluations
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care for patients
- Participating in medical rounds, meetings, and presentations to share knowledge and expertise
- Contributing to the development and implementation of protocols and guidelines for pediatric neurosurgery services
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
Requirements:
- Medical degree from an accredited university
- Board certification in Pediatric Neurosurgery
- The candidate must hold UK CCT, American Board, Canadian Board, or an equivalent recognized qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Consultant Pediatric Neurosurgeon
- Specific experience in performing epilepsy surgeries in children
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-building skills
- Fluent in English, with knowledge of Arabic being an advantage
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Must be eligible for licensure in Dubai
