Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Paediatric Haematologist / Oncologist to join a prestigious hospital in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will specialize in diagnosing and treating blood disorders and cancers in children, providing expert care and compassionate support to young patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed and accurate assessments of patients, including their medical history, diagnostic tests, and current symptoms.

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on the specific needs of each patient, in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood tests, MRI scans, and X-rays, to determine the presence and extent of diseases or conditions.

• Administer appropriate medications and therapies, as well as monitor and manage potential side effects.

• Perform procedures, such as bone marrow aspiration and biopsy, lumbar puncture, and skin biopsies, to aid in diagnosis or treatment.

• Provide emotional support and counselling to patients and their families, as well as educate them on disease management and coping strategies.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring patient confidentiality is always maintained.

• Keep abreast of new developments and advancements in paediatric haematology-oncology, both in terms of research and treatment options.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.

• Board certification in both Paediatrics and Haematology-Oncology.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Paediatric Haematology-Oncology Consultant.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

• Experience in a teaching hospital or academic setting is preferred.

• The candidate must have received Western training or education
