Role Description:

• Assist organizations integrate sustainability practices and principles into their operations, strategies, and decision-making processes.
• The primary responsibility of an ESG Consultant is to provide expert advice and guidance, enabling improve their ESG performance, manage risks, and enhance their reputation among stakeholders.
• This role requires a strong understanding of ESG frameworks, regulations, and industry best practices

Responsibilities:

• ESG Strategy Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement comprehensive ESG strategies that align with their business objectives. Conduct assessments, benchmarking, and gap analysis to identify areas of improvement and define clear sustainability goals and targets.
• ESG Reporting and Disclosure: Assist company in preparing and enhancing their ESG reporting and disclosure practices. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., Global Reporting Initiative, Sustainability Accounting Standards Board) and help create transparent and informative reports to communicate performance to stakeholders.
• ESG Risk Management: Conduct ESG risk assessments to identify and evaluate environmental, social, and governance risks and opportunities.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies, policies, and frameworks to help clients effectively manage and integrate ESG considerations into their overall risk management practices.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate engagement with stakeholders, including investors, employees, customers, regulators, and communities, to understand their ESG concerns and expectations.
• Assist clients in developing effective stakeholder engagement strategies, communications, and reporting frameworks to foster trust and transparency.
• ESG Integration: Advise company on integrating ESG considerations into their investment decision-making processes, supply chain management, product development, and overall business operations.
• Collaborate with relevant teams to embed sustainability principles throughout the organization.
• ESG Performance Monitoring and Measurement: Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track and measure ESG performance. Collect and analyze relevant data, establish baselines, and monitor progress toward sustainability goals.
• Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on relevant ESG regulations, frameworks, and industry best practices.
• Advise clients on compliance requirements, emerging trends, and evolving reporting standards to ensure they meet regulatory obligations and maintain a competitive advantage.
• Training and Education: Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate clients and internal teams about ESG concepts, strategies, and implementation of best practices. Foster a culture of sustainability and ESG awareness within organizations.

Program Management:

• Drive all initiatives from the ESG perspective, monitor initiatives of varied scope and complexity.
• Track any current ESG initiatives in action and look out for more as a self-starter.
• Assist Senior Leaders and guide them how to transform their ideas to effective implementable programs.

Transformative Programs:

• Assist in company ESG journey, work with leaders to map out an iterative journey and chart out all key initiatives and KPIs to achieve them.
• Deploy and prioritize long term thinking over short term gains, ensure short term thinking/gains is phased out and communicated to all leaders
• Maintain Dashboard for all ESG programs and conduct huddle as required

Continuous Improvement:

• Motivate one\xe2\x80\x99s own team and identify opportunities to take part in change initiatives, programs and projects that reflect international best practice and changes in the competitive environment.

Policies, Processes & Procedures:

• Recommend improvements to company policy and directs the implementation of procedures and controls so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers.

MIS & Reports:

• Prepare MIS statements and reports pertaining to departmental needs to meet companies and the departmental requirements, policies, and standards.

Related Assignments:

• Perform other related duties or assignments as directed

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in sustainability, environmental studies, business administration, finance, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in ESG consulting, sustainability strategy, corporate social responsibility, or a similar role.
• Deep knowledge of ESG frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., SASB, GRI, TCFD) and their application in different industries.
• Familiarity with ESG reporting and disclosure guidelines and frameworks, such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards.
• Strong understanding of environmental and social impact assessment methodologies, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret ESG data and metrics.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ESG concepts and recommendations to diverse audiences.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients, work collaboratively in a team environment, and influence stakeholders.
• Professional certifications related to ESG, sustainability, or responsible investing (e.g., CFA ESG Certificate, GRI Certified Training Program) are a plus.

Minimum Experience:

• Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing industry as a ESG Consultant/FTE in Corporate Sustainability Department
• Ability to conduct and drive structured complex analyses, problem solving, stakeholder management tasks to operationalize strategic initiatives.
