Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced and specialized care to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit
- Conduct physical assessments, review medical history, and interpret diagnostic tests to develop treatment plans
- Perform invasive procedures such as intubation, central line placement, and arterial line placement
- Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, lab results, and other diagnostic tests to identify changes in patient condition and ensure timely intervention
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients
- Educate patients and their families on the treatment plan and provide emotional support and counseling as needed
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects to enhance patient care and outcomes
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree
- Board certification in Critical Care Medicine
- State medical license and the ability to obtain a medical clearance to practice
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care medicine
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle high-stress situations and make quick and accurate clinical decisions
- Knowledge of advanced lifesaving techniques and procedures
- Commitment to continued education and professional development
