A new opportunity has come up for a well-experienced Consultant and Specialist Obstetrics/Gynecology to work for a hospital based in Abu Dhabi location.

In this role, you will have the following responsibilities:

The OB/Gyn will support the Zonal Referral Hospital and the fistula centre situated in Mendefera to support in the maternal and neonatal health and treatment.

The Obstetrician/Gynecologist Specialists / Consultant post is located in one of the National Referral Hospitals in zoba Debub with possible interventions in the capital city and reports directly to the Medical Director of the Hospital and the Director of the Family and Community health of the Ministry of Health and indirectly to the UNFPA Representative.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

1. Conduct monitoring meeting to discuss the management and quality of care provided during the previous 24 hours to mothers, new-born and gynecological patients.

2. Ensure that relevant guidelines are available and are posted in appropriate places of the maternity unit. For example, guidelines on the management of eclampsia/sever pre-eclampsia, hemorrhage, severe anaemia, sepsis, abortion complications, etc.

3. Conduct regular antenatal care and identify mothers who are likely to be at higher risk of complications during labour and delivery.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria:

Experience

• Three years\xe2\x80\x99 experience post subspecialty and board certification.

• Must hold a valid license to practice medicine.

Qualifications:-

• Canadian - Fellowship of the Royal Colleges

• Australian - Fellowship of the Royal Colleges

• UK - CCST or CCT or GMC Specialist Registration

• Ireland -CCST or CCT or IMC Specialist Registration

• USA American Board

• German Board - Facharzt / Fachardt.

Certifications/Other requirements as applicable

Excellent command of verbal and written English.

• Ability to adjust to group practice in a medical environment.

• Thorough knowledge of medical ethics, with particular reference to the obligation to maintain the confidentiality of professional work.

• Personality which inspires confidence and trust in patients and colleagues.

• 5 days a week working depends on the work schedule and demands of the job.
