Reports To: Site Supervisor / Site Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Steel Fixer (S) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in steel fixing and reinforcement work, particularly in specialized structures such as swimming pools, jacuzzis, water features, pergolas, beams, and slabs. The candidate must be capable of coordinating with site supervisors and engineers to ensure the accurate and timely execution of tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Coordination and Communication:

1.1 Collaborate effectively with site supervisors and engineers to understand project requirements and timelines.

1.2 Follow site instructions and guidelines meticulously to ensure compliance with project specifications.

2. Steel Fixing and Reinforcement:

2.1 Fabricate, install, and secure reinforcement steel bars (rebar) as per standard construction practices and project requirements.

2.2 Work on various structural elements, including swimming pools, jacuzzis, water features, pergolas, beams, and slabs, ensuring proper reinforcement placement.

3. Fabrication and Installation:

3.1 Cut, bend, and shape steel bars and mesh using appropriate tools and techniques.

3.2 Assemble and tie steel reinforcement bars to form cages or frameworks, ensuring structural integrity.

4. Safety and Quality Assurance:

4.1 Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

4.2 Conduct quality checks to ensure reinforcement work meets project standards and building codes.

5. Team Management:

5.1 Supervise and guide assistants or helpers as needed, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to the required standards.

6. Tool and Equipment Usage:

6.1 Utilize hand and power tools effectively and safely for cutting, bending, and securing rebar.

6.2 Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

Job Requirements:

Experience: Minimum of 3 years in steel fixing and reinforcement work, with experience in specialized structures such as swimming pools, jacuzzis, water features, pergolas, beams, and slabs.

Skills:

1. Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and blueprints.

2. Expertise in using steel fixing tools and equipment.

3. Strong knowledge of steel reinforcement techniques and best practices.

4. Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.

Physical Fitness: Good physical stamina and ability to handle manual labor tasks.

Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
