We are currently looking for a qualified

Steel Fixer

to join our dedicated construction team within the

Mapa Limak Construction LLC

. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and securing steel reinforcement with precision, contributing to the safe and timely completion of key infrastructure elements. This role requires a high level of craftsmanship, physical endurance, and commitment to safety protocols on-site.

Responsibilities:

Measure, cut, bend, and shape steel bars and mesh according to technical plans. Assemble steel reinforcement structures by tying or welding bars into designed frameworks. Place steel components accurately into formwork before concrete pouring operations. Ensure reinforcement positioning using spacers, chairs, and other alignment tools. Collaborate with site engineers, formwork carpenters, and other trades to coordinate reinforcement installation. Follow all health and safety guidelines, including safe handling of tools and materials. Conduct visual inspections and ensure all reinforcement complies with project specifications and standards. Maintain and safeguard hand tools, cutting/bending equipment, and personal protective gear. Report material needs or technical concerns promptly to site supervisors.

Qualifications:

Technical certification, ITI, or High School Diploma in construction or a related field. Minimum 5 years of practical experience as a Steel Fixer in infrastructure or high-rise projects. Ability to read and interpret rebar shop drawings and bar bending schedules (BBS). Skilled in manual and power tools for cutting, bending, and fixing steel reinforcements. Knowledge of rebar couplers, lap splice techniques, and basic welding is an asset. Familiarity with Dubai construction codes and reinforcement standards. Strong physical condition and ability to work in hot or elevated environments. Commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail. Safety-conscious, with understanding of PPE and on-site HSE practices. Team-oriented with effective communication and coordination skills. Willingness to work in a fast-paced, multicultural project environment.
