Job Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement procurement strategies for construction materials (e.g., steel, concrete, timber) and equipment (e.g., cranes, excavators, power tools) to meet project timelines, quality standards, and cost targets.
2. Source, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to optimize cost and ensure reliable supply.
3. Collaborate closely with project managers, site engineers, and finance teams to forecast procurement needs, align orders with project progress, and resolve supply-related issues in a timely manner.
4. Conduct market research to monitor price fluctuations, new product developments, and industry trends, providing insights to update procurement plans and reduce costs.
5. Oversee the entire procurement lifecycle, including purchase order issuance, goods receipt inspection, inventory management, and supplier performance evaluation.
6. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and environmental standards in all procurement activities, minimizing risks such as supply delays or substandard products.
