Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

Construction and Repair:

Masons build new structures like walls, chimneys, and pathways, and also repair existing ones.

Material Handling and Preparation:

They cut, shape, and prepare materials like stone, brick, and concrete blocks using various tools.

Mixing and Application:

Masons mix cement and mortar according to specifications and apply it to bind materials together.

Ensuring Accuracy:

Masons use levels, plumb bobs, and other tools to ensure structures are level, plumb, and aligned correctly.

Safety Compliance:

They follow safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment.

Tool and Workspace Maintenance:

Masons clean and maintain their tools and keep the work area tidy.

Specific Tasks May Include:

Laying bricks and stones according to patterns and designs. Installing and repairing concrete structures like foundations and walls. Working with tiles and other materials to create decorative elements. Repairing damaged mortar joints and replacing damaged or missing materials.

Skills and Qualifications:

Physical Stamina:

Masonry work can be physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.

Technical Skills:

Masons need a strong understanding of masonry techniques, tools, and materials.

Attention to Detail:

Accuracy is crucial in masonry, so a keen eye for detail is essential.

Problem-Solving:

Masons may need to identify and resolve issues that arise during construction.

Safety Awareness:

Masons must be aware of and adhere to safety regulations to prevent accidents. He must speak English. Should be currently in UAE. Required experience min 3 years.
