CM (E&I) reports to EID and to PD/SPM/PM of the project assigned to him by EID.
CM (E&I) carries out all Project Management Team (PMT) activities and coordination with Client, Vendor reps and interdiscipline Sections (i.e. with Estimation, Subcontracts, Contracts, Supply support, Engineering QAS, Project services), and other PMT members for the smooth execution of the project.
He is in-charge of all E&I related construction (Yard) and installation (Offshore) works on the project. He ensures that all E&I activities are executed in accordance with the Contract Specifications, planned schedule and within the estimated budget to the satisfaction of the Client & Company.
Responsibilities: PMT related
Effective utilization and management of the team assigned to work under him like Sr. Project Engineer, Construction Engineers & Supervisory staff. Preparation of mobilization plan for the E&I team required for the execution of project in consultation with EID after review of technical and commercial hand over documents of the project.
Identifying the specific and special requirements for the execution of the Project and assisting EID in providing the technical & commercial input to Contracts Section at bidding stage to ensure that adequate provision of Resources is made for all E&I activities.
Assigning job responsibilities and specific tasks for the E&I Engineers working under him.
Participating in project management team meetings regularly with Client, Vendor Reps, Third Party Inspection Agencies, and action accordingly to resolve various project E&I issues with his team members.
Finalizing and submitting the E&I project deliverables as per the project execution plan with assistance from Engineers working with him on the project.
Reviewing relevant Engineering deliverables for constructability & providing comments.
Participating in Constructability reviews and study the design and execution strategy submitted by Subcontractor(s) if any. Also, he must identify any positive or negative variation arising in the project during the execution of work.
Maintaining frequent contact with Clients, Consultant, Subcontractors, Third Party Inspection Agencies, Vendors and promote good relationship with them, and ensure that Company's reputation and image are enhanced, and Company's interests are well protected.
Identifying the need for job instructions and variation orders as per the scope of work and prepare required input in consultation with EID/PD/PM to ensure cost effective completion of the project.
During project execution stage, he shall collect various lessons learned from his subordinates, compile and issue the same to PD/PM/EID for further utilization on future projects. He will implement approved Lessons Learnt and Good Practices on his running project, as applicable.
Attending (or delegating other E&I eng.) related packages FAT and ensuring the close out of all punches prior to dispatch from factory.
Yard Construction related
Carrying out internal meetings with his subordinates and ensure the smooth completion of the project and resolve various issues related to the execution of project, identify areas of concern, assess delays if any, analyse the impact of the same, discuss in detail with EID and PD/PM and initiate timely steps to resolve the same.
Ensuring that the "Risk Assessments" for various E&I activities are carried out before execution of work.
Monitoring constantly the E&I work progress in each area, comparing with the early plan, analysing the reasons for the delays, if any, and taking necessary steps in consultation with EID/PD/PM to mitigate such delays in the project schedule.
Monitoring project costs in consultation with EID and QS regularly during execution of the project in order to keep the cost within the estimated budget value.
Ensuring safety in the workplace and make sure that the works are executed in accordance with Company HSE systems and policies. He will also participate in HSE Tours and Audits to increase the HSE awareness of his subordinates and the workforce at site.
Ensuring that E&I equipment preservation program is established & implemented as required.
Overall management of the project E&I related works ensuring quality of work and implementation of approved company quality procedure on the project with due consideration to HSE requirements.
Offshore Installation related
Working Closely with Offshore Operation, prepare Schedule based on available Marine Spread. Identify potential issues which can lead to additional barge days.
Coordinating with Client shutdown schedules and arranging workshops with all stake holders to plan execution for Brown Filed Scope.
coordinating with Engineering on design related issues, constructability and model review. Sharing lesson learns to ensure past issues are addressed and closed.
Coordinating with Onshore Interface Contractors to resolve interface related issues
coordinating with Vendors, Subcon to provide execution plan and ensure work associated are attended.
Working with procurement to ensure material delivered on time. Provide plan to deliver projects materials in KSA for smooth operation and to avoid delays in shifting materials.
Arranging required Qualification of HV/MV , FO, Instrument Calibrators under assigned project and to ensure proper training are done to qualify team.
Leading a team of Site and yard engineers
Ensuring Set up of Material Movements, SABER Application, LOM process are done per project schedule.
Arrangements in terms of Materials storage to be made in areas planned for KSA, UAE Offshore
Discussing project Execution plan with assigned team and to highlight project delays and discuss mitigation plan.
Introduction of new Job Cards and estimation system to calculate man-hours , avoiding cost over run.
Coordinating with Yard team ensuring onshore scope are attended and any carry over works are captured properly to execute them offshore. Qualifications: Educational Qualifications & Certifications
