Construction Manager
Overall Purpose:
The Construction Manager is responsible for all on-site construction activities. They focus on the physical execution of the project, managing the workforce, subcontractors, equipment, and materials to meet the schedule, safety, and quality standards set by the Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Management: Oversee all daily on-site operations, ensuring a safe, efficient, and productive work environment.
- Workforce & Subcontractor Management: Directly manage the general foremen, supervisors, and subcontractors to achieve production targets.
- Schedule Execution: Translate the project schedule into actionable work plans for the site teams and ensure adherence to milestones.
- Resource Planning: Plan and coordinate the deployment of labor, plant, and materials on site to avoid delays.
- Safety & Quality Enforcement: Enforce strict adherence to HSE and QA/QC plans and procedures on the front line.
- Progress Monitoring: Monitor physical progress and report any deviations from the plan to the Project Manager.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, or significant trade-based experience.
- 10+ years of experience in construction supervision and management, with a strong focus on field operations.
