Construction Manager - Civil
Job Summary:
The Construction Manager - Civil is the senior on-site leader responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of civil construction projects. This role requires a hands-on leader with extensive experience in managing large-scale civil works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the civil construction team.
• Manage all on-site civil construction activities, including earthworks, structural concrete, steelwork, and utilities.
• Develop and maintain the master construction schedule, coordinating with project managers and planners.
• Manage the project budget, control costs, and review monthly cost-to-complete forecasts.
• Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols, company policies, and local regulations.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the site-based civil team, including superintendents, engineers, and foremen.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, consultants, and subcontractors for all civil-related matters.
• Oversee the review and execution of civil design drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Chair regular site meetings and provide detailed progress reports to senior management.
• Resolve any site-based conflicts, technical issues, or unforeseen challenges promptly and effectively.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in civil construction, with at least 8 years in a senior management role.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, complex civil projects.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
