Construction Manager (civil)

Job Description

Responsibilities

:

Project Management

: Lead and manage civil construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications. Develop and implement detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and take corrective actions when necessary.

Team Leadership and Coordination

: Supervise and direct project staff, including engineers, construction workers, subcontractors, and suppliers. Ensure effective communication and collaboration across project teams, stakeholders, and clients. Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, discuss issues, and ensure alignment with project objectives.

Budget and Cost Control

: Oversee project budgets, including estimating costs, reviewing invoices, and ensuring cost control throughout the construction process. Identify and resolve any budget discrepancies or cost overruns.

Quality Assurance

: Ensure all work is completed according to engineering specifications, local codes, and industry standards. Conduct regular inspections to ensure construction quality, safety, and compliance with regulations. Review and approve all plans, designs, and change orders before implementation.

Safety and Compliance

: Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures on-site. Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained before construction begins. Monitor site safety and address any safety issues to minimize accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

Client and Stakeholder Relations

: Maintain positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Provide regular updates to clients on project status, milestones, and any challenges or delays. Resolve any disputes or issues that arise between stakeholders.

Risk Management

: Identify potential risks to the project, such as delays, budget constraints, or regulatory issues, and develop mitigation strategies. Oversee the management of construction-related risks, including delays, resource shortages, and unexpected site conditions.

Qualifications

:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. 15-18 years of experience in civil construction management or a similar role in the UAE.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to AED20,000.00 per month

Experience:

Construction Manager in the UAE: 7 years (Preferred)
