Reports To: Site Supervisor / Site Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Construction Carpenter (C) with at least 3 years of relevant experience in structural and formwork carpentry. The candidate must be capable of fabricating and installing shuttering works to high-quality standards while following site instructions and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate effectively with site supervisors and/or site engineers to understand and execute daily work instructions.

2. Fabricate, install, and fix shuttering/formwork as per standard construction practices and project specifications.

3. Carry out shuttering work for various structural elements, especially for:

Swimming pool walls

Coping beams

Pergola foundations

Beams and slabs etc.

4. Install and dismantle scaffolding as per site needs, following safe and accepted practices used in the region.

5. Supervise and direct helpers or assistants as necessary to complete assigned tasks efficiently.

6. Use all carpentry tools, machines, and equipment correctly and safely, in accordance with standard operating procedures.

7. Maintain accuracy, alignment, and cleanliness in all formwork and structural installations.

Job Requirements:

1. Minimum 3 years of experience in construction carpentry, with specific experience in shuttering and formwork.

2. Skilled in working on structural elements such as slabs, beams, walls, and specialized works like pools and pergolas.

3. Familiar with regional scaffolding practices and safe dismantling procedures.

4. Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and best practices.

5. Ability to read and follow site guidelines and instructions from supervisors/engineers.

6. Able to work independently or within a team.

7. Physically fit and capable of working in a construction environment.
