The Construction Carpenter is responsible for building, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood and other materials in accordance with project specifications and safety standards. The role involves reading blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, and assembling frameworks to support construction activities on residential, commercial, or industrial sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and building plans to meet project specifications.
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, metal, and other materials to construct frameworks, partitions, flooring, doors, window frames, and roofing structures.
Install fixtures and fittings such as cabinets, staircases, moldings, and trims.
Inspect and repair existing structures and frameworks as required.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
Collaborate with site supervisors, engineers, and other tradespeople to ensure accurate construction and timely project completion.
Follow established safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Ensure work complies with building codes, standards, and regulations.
Assist in estimating materials, labor, and time requirements for assigned tasks.
