About The Job
:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project accounting, cost control, and financial reporting specific to the construction industry in the UAE or GCC region.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day accounting operations related to construction projects.
Monitor and track project costs, budgets, and timelines.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and payment.
Review and validate supplier and subcontractor invoices, progress billings, and retention.
Assist in preparing project forecasts and cash flow reports.
Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and internal audit requirements.
Coordinate with project managers and site engineers to validate cost entries.
Maintain accurate records of WIP (Work In Progress) and completed contracts.
Liaise with external auditors and prepare supporting documents for annual audits.
Support ERP implementation and reporting upgrades if applicable.
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a construction accounting role in the UAE or GCC.
Strong knowledge of project accounting, cost control, and contract financials.
Familiar with UAE VAT laws and local financial regulations.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Oracle, SAP, QuickBooks, or construction-specific systems like BuildSmart or CCS).
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
Preferred:
Experience working with a Tier 1 contractor or large-scale projects.
Knowledge of FIDIC contracts or similar.
Bilingual (English/Arabic) is an advantage.

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
