Your role

Saab are looking to expand our team with a Configuration Manager to support our fast paced growth. The main focus for this position will be to support both the organisation and the projects with all configuration and information management related activities and Responsibilities.

The Configuration Manager has the following overall responsibility:

Configuration Management Planning

• Be the point of contact for all Configuration Management (CM) issues internally and externally.
• Ensure the establishment of the CM environment.
• Review CM requirements from stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain the project and company Configuration Management Plans (CMP).
• Identify CM requirements that suppliers / partners will be affected by.
• Communicate the CMPs.
• Prepare and conduct necessary CM training.
• Manage the CM activities according to the CM Plans.
• Report CM issues to the Product/project manager.
• Set up the CCBs (Configuration Control Boards).
• Participate in audits of the CM process.
• Contribute to continual improvement of the CM process.

Configuration Identification

• Participate and provide guidance in selection of Configuration Items (CI).
• Ensure that CIs and structures are registered in the CM environment.
• Ensure that configuration baselines are created.
• Coordinate the establishment of the product structure and associated product configuration information to ensure that all stakeholders are involved.

Change Control

• Ownership of CCB meetings.
• Ensure that changes are registered in the CM environment.
• Follow up configuration changes.

Configuration status accounting

• Ensure that applicable product configuration information is captured.
• Create status reports.

Configuration audit

• Ensure that Configuration Audits (FCA and PCA) are planned, executed and documented.

Information Management

• Support the organisation with managing information throughout it\xe2\x80\x99s life cycle, including correct identification, handling procedures, storage, archive and disposal.

Experince & Skills

Minimum 5 years of related experience in Configuration Management, proven experience of working within development and manufacturing organizations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Diploma or degree educated, preferably in the engineering field.
• Excellent analytical skills; demonstrate the ability to translate stakeholder requirements for Configuration Management and integrate them into existing processes within the operations.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office experience required.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Good communication skills; the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 10007.
• Experience within Information Management (IM).
• Good basic level of understanding of mechanical, electrical and/or software design is advantageous.
• Experience within aerospace/defence industry is advantageous.
• You must be able to express yourself in English, both oral and in written word.
• Driver\xe2\x80\x99s license.

This position requires that you undergo a security screening in accordance with the Saab internal processes.
