The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining concrete pumping equipment to place concrete accurately and efficiently at various construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of machinery operation, safety protocols, and teamwork on busy work sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate concrete pump trucks and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Set up and tear down pump equipment on job sites.
Inspect concrete pump machinery before use to ensure it is functioning properly.
Monitor the flow of concrete to prevent blockages and ensure even distribution.
Work closely with concrete truck drivers and site crew to ensure accurate placement.
Clean and maintain equipment after each use.
Adhere strictly to safety protocols and company policies.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to equipment or concrete flow.
Maintain accurate work and maintenance records.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a concrete pump operator (preferred).
Valid driver's license (CDL may be required depending on equipment).
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and job instructions.
Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
Strong attention to safety and detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and travel to various job sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in pump operation or heavy equipment operation.
Knowledge of basic mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.
