VMware is looking for a Compliance PMO Program Manager to join the Compliance Program Management Office (PMO) responsible for VMware\xe2\x80\x99s global technology compliance program management & governance. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out the vision of the Compliance PMO. You will be working with key partners and stakeholders to drive compliance alignment across VMware. The job requires cloud services business knowledge, compliance operations, audit execution experience and knowledge to rapidly make a direct contribution in helping us achieve our goals.

What is primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for?

We need someone who can work collaboratively with our internal Compliance teams and BUs to help oversee compliance governance across the different compliance scopes in order to reduce technology risk across VMware. This role will have a concentration in US Federal and Public Sector compliance.

This role will also drive projects across assigned VMware compliance scopes (cloud services compliance, corporate compliance \xe2\x80\x93 federal & commercial) enabling certifications or attestations for VMware. You will need to manage various engagements and meetings \xe2\x80\x93 the key purpose is to ensure all teams execute the project as defined. You will need to work with the team to continually drive improvement in how we deliver our services to the larger VMware.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement & carry out the Compliance PMO vision
  • Help define, implement and operate program plans and processes to drive expected business outcomes
  • Support creation of processes, metrics, dashboard, tools and tool integrations as necessary to support additional requirements of scaling a fast-growing business
  • Drive compliance projects and accountability to meet compliance deliverables
  • Ensure accurate project reporting is documented and logged
  • Drive operating cadence for meetings and follow-ups, and clearly communicate objectives, deadlines and status to all stakeholders.
  • Work with other program managers and cross functional teams to align schedules and resources to meet deadlines, identifying risks and removing roadblocks.
  • Drive internal communication programs to raise awareness on strategic initiatives.
Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience in Cloud Services Compliance such as SOC 2, ISO 27k series, HIPAA, HITRUST, PCI, FedRAMP
  • At least 2 years of Working knowledge of FedRAMP and other US Federal Compliance certifications
  • Highly self-motivated and directed professional with keen attention to detail & data validation
  • Strong Business and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines is essential
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to effectively work with all stakeholders; Seek and listen to understand
  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to influence without authority; partner with other functions
  • Attention to detail, ability to organize work, and follow-up skills are critical to the successful performance of position responsibilities
  • Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies (Jira, Confluence, MS Project, and MS Office)
Desired Skills:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in delivering workflow improvements to existing processes
  • CISSP, CCSP, CISA, CRISC or any accredited security certification
  • Familiarity and understanding of broad range or IT hardware and software products, VMware products, cloud computing, or hosting services
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Sharepoint and PowerBI reporting \xe2\x80\x93 a major plus
