Amazon Payment Services (APS) is looking for a compliance professional to join the Dubai-based Compliance team. This position will support APS\' growth by means of implementing policies and 2nd line controls that ensure regulatory compliance without compromising our merchants\' experience.
Key job responsibilities The Compliance Manager is responsible for providing compliance subject-matter expertise and oversight of payment products in the UAE.
In particular, the Compliance Manager will: - Track and devise plans and strategies to comply with upcoming regulation. -Monitor 1st line compliance programs and devise metrics and mechanisms to measure their effectiveness. - In conjunction with our legal team: Provide effective, timely and pragmatic advice on compliance matters to the business on how to manage conduct and compliance risks within payments propositions. - Interpret and advise on applicable UAE regulations. - Work with legal, risk and business leads to develop and maintain our compliance policies and controls. - Ensure that APS is exam-ready and collaborate in the preparation of regulatory submissions in the context of regulatory exams and other regulatory engagements.
About the team The MEA compliance office supports Amazon regulated entities in the MEA region by providing compliance expertise and oversight that allows them to thrive in regulated environments. We build 2nd line controls that keep Amazon entities compliant without compromising customer experiences.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrable expertise in all the regulatory materials that apply to retail payment service providers in the UAE, including all the relevant CBUAE guidelines. -3-5 years of experience in banks, payment service providers or fintech, ideally in the UAE. (Applications that don\'t meet this requirement will not be considered). - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate to technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels. - Law or business degree (ideally at Masters level). -Strong tech literacy and understanding of the fundamentals of internet businesses.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications: -ACAMs, ICA or similar certifications.
