Must be living in the UAE and have SCA Licence (Securities and Commodities Authority)
I have partnered with a company in the region who have multiple offices across the GCC region. They are growing and are seeking a Compliance Assistant to work alongside another person. It is essential you have experience working in Fund Administration/ Fund Compliance. They are seeking someone who understands alternative investment funds, local regulatory compliance and has SCA licence.

To be successful in this role you must have experience working in compliance, internal audit, operational risk, consulting, asset management or fund administration. It is essential you have an SCA licence and living in the UAE.

Duties Include:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and laws in order to effectively manage compliance risks
- Coordinate company and regulatory filings to ensure timely submissions
- Compliance monitoring in line with existing compliance policies, procedures and manuals and identifying any necessary amendments to such policies to comply with evolving legal and regulatory requirements
- Perform compliance testing and monitoring reviews and follow-up on action points and recommendations
- Liaise with clients to obtain required documentation for registration of funds with local regulators
- Review of fund marketing materials in line with regulatory requirements
- Provide training to employees on compliance and conduct of business policies and procedures
- Respond to internal queries regarding company policies and procedures
- Assist in responding to requests from external parties on regulatory and compliance matters
- Liaise with local legal counsel
- Certain company secretarial work in line with corporate governance requirements
YOU ARE

REQUIREMENTS
- 3-5 years of experience in compliance working within fund administration/ Asset Management/ Consulting/ Internal Audit \xe2\x80\x93 if you have Banking compliance experience you will not be considered
- Degree educated
- Strong knowledge of alternative investment funds or familiar with fund document
- Good knowledge of the application legal requirements/ policies in the UAE i
- Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing knowledge (AML/CTF)
- Arabic language skills desired
- Knowledge of the GCC region
- Experience of interaction with SCA and other GCC regulators
- Understanding investment strategies such as Private Equity/ Real Estate/ Private Debt/ Venture Capital Funds
- Must be living in the UAE
