JOB TITLE: COMMUNICATIONS GRADUATE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support in managing online/social media platforms.
  • Online channels/social media content creation.
  • Content generation for and updates to the corporate website.
  • Writing/editing to create user-friendly content (including news, features, interviews, opinion articles and industry stories).
  • Contributor to editorial and creative meetings and content for corporate publications, campaigns and events.
  • Work with the team/business to identify opportunities and develop positive news flow for all external and internal channels in an effective and efficient way.
  • Help create and deliver clear and effective employee communications that underpin business needs, foster collaboration, engender pride and support and underpin our values and behaviours in an evolving world.
  • Production and design team support.
  • Logistics, planning and project management for communications events and other functional and business events (physical events, online and hybrid).
  • Agency/media liaison support and co-ordination of various other third-party support services (photo/videographers, printers, AV companies, etc).
  • Research and information gathering.
  • Support the planning, and execution of CSR activities and other ah-hoc projects as required.
  • Help champion consistency and compliant implementation of the Petrofac brand across the region in external and internal communications and across channels.
  • Build a strong network with colleagues across all businesses, particularly in the UAE and relevant East projects, functions and other offices.
  • Work effectively with all members of the Marketing/Communications teams and wider functions in multiple locations and time zones where needed.
  • Admin support in ordering, invoicing and related items.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • Basic understanding and entry level experience of communications environment.
  • Entry level skillset in current media and social media practices, content and tactics.
  • Proven writer/effective storyteller (English/Arabic).
  • Some experience in managing and co-ordinating events would be an advantage (online/offline).
  • Any experience in supporting the creation and delivery of impactful engagement campaigns would be an advantage.
  • Content development.
  • Creative writer.
  • Digital/social media user (LI, Insta, Twitter and Facebook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills (English/Arabic).
  • Confident IT skills - e.g. Microsoft Office package (PowerPoint, Teams, etc).
  • Highly organised with ability to prioritise a varied and demanding workload.
  • Ability to build strong networks and interact with different people.
  • Project management skills.
  • Numerate and able to interpret data.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Team player.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced, high profile environment.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Self-motivation, flexibility and adaptability. A proactive attitude and ability to work independently.

  • Graduate, ideally with some entry level work experience (ideally PR agency/corporate comms).
