We are looking for an experienced Communication Officer with extensive knowledge in efficiently managing shipping communication on the ports along with husbandry experience to be based in our offices in Dubai, UAE. Managing the radio room/ VHF Operator duties are also preferred. Job Responsibilities:

• 24/7 effectively handling communication/coordination with the vessels and the clients.
• Attending the stakeholder's incoming messages by providing acknowledgements and actions if urgent attention is required or appropriately forwarding to the concerned persons as per procedure.
• Responsible in providing accurate services in Husbandry which include (berthing, fresh water, ship spares, food, provisions, crew change, etc.
• Efficiently managing the communication center as per procedures.
• Attending all after office hours requirements from stakeholders by providing (where possible) direct attendance or immediate coordination with the concerned staff / parties when necessary.
• Responsible for ensuring effective implementation / compliance of Management Requirements as per Kanoo Shipping Operational / Quality / HSSE Procedures and Policies
• Responsible for the strict compliance to the Cash to Master handling and security procedures
• Responsible for the strict compliance to the Emergency Response procedures in cases of emergencies.
• Carry out cover functions to Port Operations Supervisors as per Tanker Procedure
• Responsible for providing accurate and timely assistance to Kanoo Shipping staff in the field / after office hours when necessary.

• Good communication skills
• You must be proactive, available 24/7 and approachable.
• Flexible with work pressure - willing to work after office hours - since the role demands the same.
• A team player.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the shipping field - particularly- Dubai Ports are (Jebel Ali Port, Mina Rashid Port Dubai and Al Hamriyah Port).
• Hands on experience with handling Husbandry, Radio room and VHF Operator
• Have knowledge about the Dubai Ports procedures.
• Should have enough knowledge about the Ports Documentation
• Excellent in speaking and writing in English language.
• Good skills in MS Office.
• Driving License would be an advantage
