We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Commis Cook, you will assist in the preparation and cooking of food under the supervision of senior chefs. You will gain hands-on experience in various sections of the kitchen and have the opportunity to develop your culinary skills in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes, ensuring high standards of hygiene, presentation, and taste. Ingredient Management: Prepare and organize ingredients in line with the kitchenaEUR(TM)s daily menu and stock requirements. Maintaining Cleanliness: Ensure all kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment are cleaned and maintained according to health and safety regulations. Support Senior Chefs: Work closely with senior kitchen staff to assist in the cooking process, learning different cooking techniques and gaining a wide range of skills. Stock Management: Assist in the receiving, storing, and rotating of food stocks to maintain freshness and reduce waste. Adherence to Standards: Follow all recipes and instructions given by senior chefs to ensure consistency and quality of food. Health & Safety Compliance: Comply with all food safety and sanitation guidelines, maintaining a safe and hygienic work environment. Teamwork: Work efficiently within a team environment, assisting colleagues when needed, and communicating effectively to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Qualifications and Skills: Experience: Prior experience in a kitchen, either as an apprentice or as a kitchen assistant, is preferred but not required. Education: Formal culinary training is a plus but not essential. Passion for Cooking: A genuine passion for food and cooking, with a desire to learn and grow in the culinary field. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, ensuring consistency in food preparation and presentation. Ability to Work Under Pressure: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, particularly during busy service times. Team Player: Strong communication and teamwork skills.
