Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Commis Chef (Pastry) to join our culinary team in Ras Al Khaimah. The ideal candidate will have a love for pastry arts, a creative approach to baking and dessert preparation, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities



Assist in preparing and baking pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and other baked items Support the Pastry Chef in daily kitchen operations and recipe execution Ensure consistency, taste, and presentation in all pastry and dessert items Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene in the pastry kitchen Monitor stock levels of pastry ingredients and report needs to the senior chef Adhere to UAE food safety and hygiene regulations Assist with daily kitchen preparation, service, and closing procedures

Candidate Requirements



Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Commis Chef or in pastry/bakery preparation (UAE experience preferred) Basic knowledge of pastry techniques, baking, and dessert preparation Strong attention to detail, creativity, and a willingness to learn Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen environment Strong English communication skills; Arabic is a plus Must hold a valid own visa (freelance or spouse) Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Skills



Hands-on experience with chocolate work, cake decoration, or bread making Knowledge of modern pastry trends and plating techniques UAE Food Handling Certificate (or willingness to obtain it)

Additional Information



Candidates must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate to Ras Al Khaimah before joining Language Requirements: Fluent English (Required), Arabic (Preferred)
