Support CDP to ensure the section is run to the specified service levels in accordance with jtg recipes and SOP's.
Understand and learn specials for their section in implementation and menu changes according to agreed recipes, and standards.
The commis is encouraged to be part of the menu and specials recipe development/testing in both practical and creative aspects.
Support the CDP and ensure all mise en place lists and handovers are completed correctly on time for the next shift.
Ensure all workstations and section areas are cleaned down as per jtg specifications to ensure adherence of all government and regulatory requirements in food safety, hygiene and equipment maintenance.
The commis is required to understand the importance of all tasks with a strict attention to detail when receiving instructions from all senior members of the brigade.
Work closely and communicate effectively with other team members to promote good teamwork and efficient operations.

To have kitchen background and a relevant qualification
Experience as a commis or kitchen helper in a similar organisation for a minimum of 2 years.
