Job Description
We are looking to hire a Commis 2 with Asian Restaurant Experiance To be successful, you should demonstrate excellent organizational skills and ensure that all duties are completed in a timely manner. Responsibilities:
- Ensure the kitchen is set up with cooking utensils and equipment for the shift operation
- Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients
- Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Monitor food stock and place orders
- Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
- Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
- Experience in using cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware
- Proven experience as Cook / Commis in an Asian Restaurant
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods especially in Wok, Grill, Sushi, Dimsum and Fryer
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
- Ability to work in a team
- Excellent communication skills in English
- A diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage
- Asian Restaurant: 4-6 years (Preferred)
- Dubai: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Required)
- Cook in Asian restaurant: 4 years (Required)
- English (Required)
