Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook continental dishes under the supervision of senior chefs.
Assist in daily mise en place and ensure proper portioning and plating of dishes.
Follow standard recipes and presentation guidelines to maintain consistency.
Support the
Chef de Partie
and
Sous Chef
in kitchen operations.
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety in accordance with
HACCP
standards.
Properly label, store, and rotate ingredients to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
Work efficiently during busy service hours while maintaining quality and accuracy.
Requirements:
Minimum
1-2 years of experience
as a
Commis I or Commis II
in a continental or multi-cuisine restaurant.
Basic knowledge of continental dishes, sauces, and cooking methods.
Culinary diploma or equivalent professional certification preferred.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong teamwork, discipline, and willingness to learn.
Basic understanding of
food safety and hygiene
procedures.
