We are seeking a talented and passionate Commi 2 Baker to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Commi 2 Baker, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen, assisting senior bakers in creating a wide range of high-quality baked goods while honing your skills and contributing to our culinary excellence.
Assist in preparing and baking various types of bread, pastries, and desserts according to recipes and quality standards
Measure and weigh ingredients accurately, ensuring consistency in all baked products
Operate and maintain baking equipment, including ovens, mixers, and other kitchen tools
Monitor baking processes and adjust temperatures or baking times as needed
Collaborate with the kitchen team to meet production schedules and deadlines
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
Assist in inventory management and stock rotation of baking ingredients and supplies
Support senior bakers in developing new recipes and improving existing ones
Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
Qualifications
1-2 years of experience in a professional bakery or kitchen setting
Food safety certification (required)
Culinary diploma or certificate with a focus on baking (preferred)
Proficiency in various baking techniques, including bread, pastries, and desserts
Skilled in using baking equipment and following recipes accurately
Strong time management and organizational skills, with ability to multitask
Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
Knowledge of ingredient properties and their interactions in baking
* Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary
