We are seeking a commercially astute Project Manager to join our Howden Middle East team in Dubai. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of high-value, turnkey projects on time, within budget, and in full compliance with contractual and commercial obligations.
What Will You Do?

• Commercial Project Leadership: Lead the execution of complex, high-value projects with a strong focus on commercial performance, profitability, and risk management.
• Contract Management: Interpret and manage contracts (NEC, FIDIC), ensuring compliance with terms, identifying risks, and negotiating variations and claims.
• Financial Oversight: Control project budgets, manage supplier commitments, and ensure timely invoicing and milestone payments to maintain positive cash flow.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication, managing expectations, and fostering long-term relationships.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, quality, planning, and documentation teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Change Management: Proactively manage scope changes, variations, and amendments, ensuring commercial impacts are assessed and documented.
• Subcontractor Management: Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery.
• Project Reporting: Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and financial performance to internal and external stakeholders.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley, MS Business Central controls, and all relevant EHS and statutory requirements.
• Project Close-Out: Lead project handover, documentation finalization, and post-project reviews to capture lessons learned.
• Time management: The candidate must be comfortable with flexible work patterns to engage with stakeholders in various time zones worldwide. They will be required to handle late evening calls for some projects and still start work at a regular time to manage local base projects.

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require...
You are required to be medically fit and be able to travel to customer sites.
Your Experience Should Be...

• BSc / BEng / BTech in Mechanical Engineering
• PMP Certification (Project Management Professional)
• Minimum 7 years' experience in managing large-scale, commercially complex projects
• Strong understanding of project financials, cash flow, and commercial risk
• Experience with NEC and/or FIDIC contracts
• Familiarity with ISO quality systems (ISO9000, ISO14000)
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and client-facing skills
• Proficiency in ERP systems and project management tools
• Experience in process plant or industrial equipment projects is advantageous
