Overview:
Seeking a highly proficient Commercial Manager who has experience and expertise in Bid Management!

The opportunity

The Commercial Manager – Bid Management will identify opportunities for bid submissions, develop bid-winning strategies, conduct research, write and edit proposals, negotiate with stakeholders, and collaborate with other team members to ensure successful and timely bid submission.

You will be able to write effective proposals while adhering to budgetary and time constraints. Ideal candidates should demonstrate a sound understanding of the industry, and be able to communicate and negotiate with a range of stakeholders.

  • Responsible for Bid & Tender Submissions: manage the entire process on tender submission and follow through the process until sales contract completion. Specifically, on tender submission, the candidate to:
    • craft persuasive and detailed proposals and ensure all deadlines are met.
    • review, understand and clarify scope with clients to fully understand their demands
    • clarify the bid conditions with the technical, operation, sales, marketing & finance teams and manage the tender preparation
    • liaise with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors as required
    • monitor the bid management in order to ensure it is aligned with the organization’s requirements
    • contribute in cost and price calculations
    • coordinate tender reviews and deadlines and adjust them to the frameworks given by the customers
    • keep track of the tender submission results and conduct team briefings once bids have been secured.
  • Identify opportunities for bid submissions and raise them with the Commercial team.
  • Identify target markets and clients; evaluate trends to determine what customers would buy a certain product or utilize a specific service.
  • Conduct research including competitor and pricing analysis and brainstorm key points to include in the bid.

Skills and attributes for success
The yardsticks of your performance would include the measurable improvement in the growth, revenue and profitability of the Healthcare Business Unit. Qualifications:
To qualify, you must have
  • Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences like Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Molecular Biology, Engineering or IT
  • Relevant international experience of min 7yrs in successful private organizations
  • Excellent planning and time-management skills
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills

Ideally, you’ll also need
  • Experience as a bid writer in genomics or health technology advantageous.
  • Strong industry knowledge and a willingness to keep up with trends.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Deadline-driven and committed to excellence.
