Position Overview: As the Commercial Director for Travel Retail, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies to drive sales and maximize revenue within the travel retail channel for our luxury perfume brand. You will play a crucial role in expanding our market presence, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring the brand\'s prominence in duty-free shops, airport boutiques, and other travel retail outlets worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy Development:
  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy for the travel retail segment, aligning with overall company goals.
  • Identify market trends, opportunities, and potential risks to inform strategic decision-making.

Sales and Revenue Growth:
  • Drive sales initiatives to achieve revenue targets and market share growth in travel retail channels.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts, distributors, and duty-free operators to secure prime positioning for our luxury perfumes.

Brand Visibility and Positioning:
  • Work closely with marketing teams to develop impactful campaigns and promotions tailored to the travel retail environment.
  • Implement branding strategies to enhance visibility and ensure a strong presence in duty-free stores worldwide.

Market Analysis and Competitor Monitoring:
  • Conduct regular market analysis to stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and adjust strategies as needed.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with various internal teams, including marketing, supply chain, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of commercial strategies.
  • Provide insights and feedback to contribute to product development and marketing initiatives.

Negotiation and Contract Management:
  • Lead negotiations with travel retail partners, securing favorable terms and agreements.
  • Oversee contract management processes and ensure compliance with agreed-upon terms.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a senior commercial role within the travel retail sector, preferably in luxury goods or cosmetics.
  • Strong understanding of the luxury perfume market and travel retail dynamics.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and drive strategic decision-making.
  • Results-oriented and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
