About Region APAC

Region APAC was established in 2020 and it is one of the 7 Regions of the International Operations. Our region covers 20 countries in total, the main parts of the region are geographically in Asia & Pacific, but we also cover Oceania (Australia & New Zealand).

The Region has over 3000 employees and consists of seven elevated affiliates: Oceania, India, Korea, Iran, Thailand, Indonesia and Pakistan as well as a Business Area covering South East Asia (BASEA) responsible for 11 countries: Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.

The Position

The Commercial Capabilities Director position will be based in Dubai, UAE but can also operate virtually from one of our hubs in Bangalore, Singapore or Istanbul and reports directly to the VP P&O and Communication of Region APAC located in Dubai. You will become a part of APAC Region P&O and Communication Team.

  • In this role, your key tasks include leading, developing and executing commercial training & development strategies for Region APAC.
  • You will be the main driver and orchestrator for all commercial capabilities learning & development strategy that is linked with Future Frontline Customer Engagement (FFCE) for Region APAC.
  • You will be also responsible for building & leading the community of sales trainers across APAC affiliates where you will need to provide direction, build competencies as well as enhancing the capabilities of your commercial trainers according to the business and organizational priorities.
  • As a member of the APAC P&O Executive leadership team, you will have a unique opportunity to contribute to the future success of APAC and ultimately work in transforming the standards of care for patients in Asia Pacific countries.
Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with a relevant academic degree within medical or business. Ideally the candidate would have 7 to 10 years of relevant experience within commercial training, sales or marketing areas, preferably in the Pharmaceutical/Healthcare industry. Multiple markets experience is a plus. You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, can take initiative, work independently and fluent in both written and spoken English and excellent level of MS office suit.

You have a strong interpersonal skill and known for your track record in managing colleagues and stakeholders at all levels in the organisation. You have a can-do attitude and able to work independently and under tight deadlines.
