Commercial Assistant

with Quantity Surveying experience and strong technical software skills.

The Role

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Commercial Assistant will play a critical support role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of demolition and enabling projects. You will be expected to assist with take-offs, cost estimation, procurement, and contract management using tools like

PlanSwift

and

AutoCAD

.

Key Responsibilities

Support preparation of cost plans, BOQs, and project budgets Perform accurate take-offs and measurements using

PlanSwift

Review and interpret CAD drawings for commercial input and quantification Assist with tender preparation, subcontractor packages, and evaluations Support with progress claims, variations, and final account settlements/Submissions Maintain commercial documentation and ensure accurate cost reporting Liaise with engineering and site teams to ensure alignment on quantities and scope

Requirements

3-5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying or Commercial Assistant role, preferably within demolition, construction, or civil works Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline

Proficiency in PlanSwift and AutoCAD is essential

Experience working with FIDIC or other regional contract standards Strong Excel and reporting skills High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and excellent time management UAE or GCC experience is preferred
