Job Description

Wood is currently recruiting for a Commercial Advisor with extensive experience in similiar firm. Successful candidate will be responsible

+ Ensure that the contract is set up correctly in the appropriate business system

+ Manage project timesheets and ensure that these are approved on time not to delay the invoices

+ Prepare and submit invoices in a timely and accurate manner and include full contract entitlement

+ Ensure that payments to WOOD are made in accordance with the terms of the contract. Expedite the client if there are any delay in the invoice payment

+ Ensure that commercial models and scope of delivery are understood

+ Ensure that change is captured in contract variations/amendments

+ Ensure that project costs are effectively controlled

+ Establish & maintain commercial administration files

+ Request, monitor and timely provision of commercial / contract deliverables in compliance with relevant policies and procedures and contract requirements (e.g. bonds, insurance certificates)

+ Prepare project cashflow forecasts/ budgets as required by Finance

+ Prepare and ensure that cost / value reporting and end life forecasting on project are undertaken in accordance with WOOD policies and procedures and that the appropriate values are reflected in the management accounts

+ Prepare project PAFs/MMRs as per Contract requirement

+ Prepare final accounts and close out of contracts in accordance with contract requirements

+ Prepare internal project monthly reports for management

+ Prepare and manage RTS between various Wood's Business Units in accordance with relevant WOOD policies and procedures and in a manner, which optimizes WOOD's commercial position

+ Provide commercial and contractual advice to Project Managers and Commercial Manager

+ Bachelor's degree in business administration, commerce, quantity surveying, or similar discipline

+ Minimum 6 years in commercial field with 3 years' experience in a similar role

+ Strong cost control experience within UAE Major oil and gas and construction clients

+ Individual should have work experience in the industry which would allow understanding of and exposure to key contracting concepts and principle

+ Good working knowledge and experience of commercial administration and procedures

+ Experience in drafting and interpretation of contractual documentation

+ Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office such as Excel
