As our Trade & Commercial Advisor in Dubai, you will help our customers - New Zealand Businesses \xe2\x80\x93 to grow and thrive in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar & the Levant. Based in the New Zealand Consulate in Dubai, we are looking for an ambitious and switched-on advisor to help New Zealand Tech & Service businesses enter and thrive in these growing sectors in the UAE.
This is an interesting role, where you work with a variety of businesses, consulting with their senior leadership teams on how to land and expand in UAE tech market. You will proactively support New Zealand tech companies to develop and execute their business growth plans, including identifying and providing strategic introductions, market analysis and research. You\xe2\x80\x99ll also be involved in the identification of potential in-market partners, help develop new channels to market and identify potential growth opportunities.
What you\xe2\x80\x99ll need to be successful: \xc5\x8c P\xc5\xabkenga
You\xe2\x80\x99ll be someone with 8-10 years management level sales, marketing, account management, or consulting experience within the Tech Sector, this could be at Enterprise level or Start-Up / Scale-Up experience. With commercial smarts and the know-how to manage a portfolio of companies, you\xe2\x80\x99ll play a key role in evaluating their strengths, weaknesses, and in-market opportunities that fit for New Zealand businesses, you will then work with them on market entry and growth strategies.
You will have relationship management skills with the ability to build trust with senior management locally and with New Zealand businesses quickly. You\'ll work with them to leverage your sector knowledge in order to capitalize on opportunities and possess the right connections in both Services & Tech sector to maximise their ability to scale and find their niche in the market.
Internally you will have the ability to build trust, empathy and a team player with colleagues in Dubai and globally.

This is a locally engaged position so you must have the right to work and travel often within UAE, Qatar & the Levant countries.
