Job Description

As a Coating Advisor, you will provide professional support to our customers by giving advice on technical issues, stock requirements, paint quality and processes, accurate application of paints and supervision of the painting progress in order to achieve the optimum performance from our products and end user happiness.

Deliver technical service in line with strategy for all Focus accounts & Product groups, ensuring Technical Service excellence and customer happiness.

Develop, implement and/or optimize work processes and systems, including equipment installation and modification, Stock Control and Forecasting - ensuring customers are able to run more efficiently and improve their operations.

Ability to find opportunities to reduce customer operating costs and improve Hempel Market Share.

Ability to solve tech issues both process and product within all product groups.

Co-ordinate with Hempel sales / customer service / Production and Logistics staff regarding projects and customer needs.

Accurate reporting of jobs by preparing / keeping records Inspection Reports as per procedures.

Provide inspection of painting process by carrying out on-site testing and quality control to ensure painting is according to specification and requirement to ensure customer happiness.

Educate customers on paint application and usage, conduct training for Applicator staff.

Compile field reports and reports on all non-conformities to protect Hempel and reduce risk exposure.

Be familiar with all Hempel focus products - technical & practical information.

Provide technical support to the commercial team of potential Opportunities and Threats to increase sales & share of wallet.

Build positive and mutually helpful relationships at multiple levels and functions within customer accounts to support the development of joint projects, strategies and action plans.

Support Sales Managers and customers by proactively answering questions and dealing with complaints when able or taking ownership for resolution and feedback.

Engage in customer meetings / events as appropriate.

Apply knowledge, networks and CRM tool to answer customer main worries or debrief on current situations and/or issues.

Support Commercial Team in developing overall account strategy via expert knowledge and customer intelligence gathering.

Actively apply relationships within customer to promote Hempel Paints and understand our profile against our competitors within their business.

Assist with improving accuracy in Demand Planning for Customers.

The role will be based in Duqm -Oman and will report into Area Manager - Services.

We're looking for a driven professional to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have the ability to understand and connect the technical value proposition with commercial and business requirements.

You should also have the following qualifications:

Bachelor's or equivalent in Chemistry/Engineering or an equivalent course

NACE Certification.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Highly customer focused.

Highly self-motivated and hardworking.

Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, CRM, Teams and Dynamic AX).
