Job Title: CNC Programmer/Engineers
Job location: Abu Dhabi Tawazun Industrial Park
Contract:(3 months, extendable)For now 3 months but will potentially be extended
ROLE SUMMARY: Responsible for Programming Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines maintaining quality and safety standards, and generating manufacturing documentation. Looking for a special defense project- CNC Programmer/Engineers with manufacturing experience in milling and turning operations. Fabrication experience this would be an advantage also.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Executes machining processes by studying work orders, blueprints, 3D models, wireframe models, engineering drawings, material specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters.
Extensive knowledge of turning and milling fixtures;
Generates NC programs adhering to, and improving on, the internal machining strategy guidelines.
Designs fixtures and jigs generating their manufacturing information: CAD models, drawings of detailed parts, bill of material, and NC programs.
Designs machining strategies based on technical targets: cycle time, machining cost, tool utilization, tools standardization.
Resolves technical problems to maximize process repeatability, and minimize cost of production.
Prepares/modifies technical drawings, specifications, calculations, visual aids and any other documentation for production instruction or fixture definition.
Ensures full conformity of the machine parts by analyzing measurement reports.
Ensures revision and management of information that affects quality and/or schedule.
Proficient using CAD/CAM software packages to produce 3D models CNC programs
Ability to read and produce engineering drawings according to different international standards with a sound knowledge of GD&T
Work independently with minimal supervision.

Education and Qualifications

• Degree or Certification in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Defence or Aerospace is desirable
• ISO quality standard certification desirable
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Certification desirable.

Experience

• At least 5 years in the defense, automotive or any other highly regulated industry
• Demonstrated record of accomplishment implementing process improvement to enhance efficiency, eliminate waste and reduce costs
• Experience using CATIA V5 and or/ Siemens NX for both CAD and CAM Applications
• Familiar with Non-Conformanace Process
